Lead Infrastructure Engineer

Qualifications

• Experience:
  5–8+ years of experience building, operating, and optimizing production infrastructure, internal platforms, or DevOps systems in cloud environments.

• Leadership:
  Minimum 2+ years of experience in a technical leadership role (Tech Lead, Staff Engineer, TLM, or equivalent), with a proven ability to lead projects, mentor engineers, and drive technical direction.

• Cloud Expertise:
  Deep hands-on experience with major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure), including strong knowledge of compute, networking, storage, IAM, and managed services.

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
  Strong proficiency in infrastructure automation using Terraform or similar frameworks, including designing and maintaining reusable, scalable modules.

• DevOps & CI/CD:
  Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, release management, and modern DevOps practices at scale.

• Containers & Orchestration:
  Practical experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, or equivalent platforms.

• Programming & Automation:
  Ability to develop scripts and production-grade automation using languages such as Python, Go, Rust, Bash, TypeScript, or similar.

• Production Operations:
  Proven experience managing production environments, including observability, alerting, incident response, runbooks, and continuous post-incident improvements.

• Cloud Security:
  Strong understanding of security best practices, including IAM, network segmentation, secrets management, encryption, and secure configuration.

• Impact & Optimization:
  Demonstrated success in improving developer productivity, cloud cost efficiency, system reliability, deployment safety, and operational maturity.

• Soft Skills:
  Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with strong prioritization and decision-making abilities in ambiguous environments, and the ability to align both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
