Lead Installer / Technician

Elite Fireplace is currently seeking a Lead Fireplace Installer/Technician. The ideal candidate will be able to take the initiative and work with a partner/team in a fast-paced environment. This position requires a motivated self-starter, with critical thinking skills, who has a background in the construction trades, electrical, plumbing, and/or finish work. Experience in the fireplace industry is not required, however, this is ideal.

Training and education, will be provided by Elite Fireplace.

Specific duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• The ideal candidate will have the ability to lead and/or work independently, and/or work with an installation crew to finish projects as scheduled.
• Address all customers in a courteous, respectful manner at all times.
• Valid driver’s license - Required.
• Installing and/or repairing direct-vent gas, wood, and electric fireplaces.
• Understand or be able to learn about venting and chimney requirements, clearances and other specifics for each unit configuration.
• Mechanically inclined with power and hand tools.
• Install basic framing using wood or metal studs.
• Handle heights daily - ladder and roof work is necessary and required for this position. This candidate cannot be afraid of heights, and be able to carry heavy items up ladders.
• Carry heavy equipment and products onto job site manually or using necessary equipment as applicable.
• Handle small spaces like attics and crawl spaces.
• General construction and tool knowledge for framing, finish carpentry, sheetrock, and taping.
• Understand how to extend safe and secure gas lines.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, gas line, and electrical work.
• Ability to read contracts, interpret contract specifications and instruction manuals and follow directions.
• Knowledge of construction logic.
• Ability to follow direction and work effectively with others.
• Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and design.
• Strong integrity and ethics.

• Valid driver’s license - Required

Pay is negotiable depending on experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
