Description

This position includes an Incentive of $15,000 and a Relocation Incentive of $3,000 to eligible new hires.

This is a benefited, full-time position (80 hours per pay period) with 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This Lead IR Tech role requires a rotation of after-hours call coverage, flexibility throughout the week (including weekends and holiday call). The position is located at Scripps Green Hospital in La Jolla.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for providing age specific care, education and imaging procedures in conjunction with other members of the defined health care team.
  • Monitor that appropriate equipment is available for procedures
  • Train staff and maintain competency level of 2-3 techs
  • Adheres to safety standards and regulatory requirements; participates in QC and Pl activities; maintains own clinical competency and mandatory requirements.
  • Functions as liaison between state and federal agencies for licensure, certification, and QA requirements for the entire Interventional Radiology department.
  • Maintains all records as needed to verify that regulations are being maintained at all times.
  • Responsible for charge reconciliation audits for procedures performed in IR department

  • Internal candidates
  • Rehires that left Scripps less than 3 years ago
  • New Graduates (Must have at least 1 year of experience)

  • Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)
  • Must remain in original department/specialty
  • Must remain in original Job Title
  • Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • CRT
  • Fluoro
  • BLS from the American Heart Association
  • Completion of a formal training/educational program in an approved school of Radiology
  • Imaging experience in a hospital or clinic setting
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ARRT (VI) Vascular Interventional Radiography
  • 1-2 years of experience is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of patient focused care delivery
