Responsibilities:

The Lead Inventory Coordinator is an integral part of the Material Resource Center and serves as an extension of the Leadership Team. This position is a working leadership assignment which requires general operational proficiencies in all supply chain operations activities. Duties will include providing leadership, assistance and maintaining operational compliance for Inventory Coordinators, Equipment Technicians, Linen Services, Storeroom Operations, and other areas as assigned. The Lead Inventory Coordinator will support the effective execution of inventory management and distribution in a manner that is aligned with the mission and values of the organization. Responsibilities also include following accepted procedures, best practices and the maintenance of a neat and orderly Store Room. This position will aid in designing and delivering general training of departmental practices and the orientation for new hires. In addition the position will frequently interact with leadership from patient care areas to develop and refine inventories and par levels, assist the Supply Chain Operations Leadership Team in the development of effective par levels, cycle counts, and expiration date reviews, perform root cause analysis for identified operational errors and inventory inconsistencies, relay staffing concerns and other performance concerns to broader Supply Chain Operations Leadership Team.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Education and Work Experience:
    • Must possess a high school diploma or GED
    • 2 years inventory control experience in a hospital Materials Management setting preferred.

      • Performance Manager/NetLearning
    • Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
    • Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
    • Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public.
    • Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees.
    • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
