A key member of the pharmacy department team, this position requires a wide array of interpersonal as well as organizational skills. The Lead Pharmacy Inventory Specialist is responsible for coordinating all TMG clinic drug inventory inspections, ensuring optimal PARs and drug storage conditions. The Lead Pharmacy Inventory Specialist facilitates the development, implementation, and maintenance of system to consistently train site-level Pharmacy Inventory Specialists, vet pharmacy vendors, and optimize system drug spend and vendor portfolio. The Lead Pharmacy Inventory Specialist is also responsible for a broad understanding of the 340B Drug Pricing Program and the impact it has on Tanner Health, and maintains appropriate membership on various committees throughout Tanner Health.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: Eight years of related experience. Requires a working knowledge of standard practices and procedures

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Will accept an Associates and six years experience or a Bachelor's and four years experience.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through either the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Healthcareer Association (NHA). CPhT-Advanced preferred.
  • Currently licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of Georgia, state of Alabama as well (preferred).
  • Within the first 90 days of entering into this role, must successfully complete 340B University through Apexus 340B Prime Vendor Program, if not already completed.
  • Within the first 90 days of entering into this role, must successfully complete the PTCB Certificate program entitled Supply Chain and Inventory Management, if not already completed.
  • Ability to interact and work well in a team-oriented environment.
  • Capability to not only perform, but to excel in a high stress environment.
  • Leadership capabilities are an important feature in this team driven department.
  • Thrives in a dynamic environment making independent decisions and using problem-solving skills.
  • Needs computer skills in various program requirements.
