We're a butcher shop, not a restaurant. That means you'll be working in a kitchen built around whole animal cookery, meat-forward prep, and real product knowledge not plating pasta for a dining room.
Duties
What you'll actually do:
- Cooking our menu and keeping the kitchen running without hand-holding
- Customer service - on our counter and on the phone
- Managing kitchen prep and the kitchen's inventory
- Work directly with the butchery team
- Maintain a clean, organized kitchen that passes inspection every time
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant service; 3-5 years of experience is required
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Servsafe credentials are required.
Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers
What we don't need:
- A resume full of fine dining fluff
- Someone who's not interested in learning how to break down a whole animal
- A cook who wants to be a chef without doing the work
If you know meat, know how to run a station, and want to be part of something that actually gives a damn about the product apply.
