Job Summary
We're a butcher shop, not a restaurant. That means you'll be working in a kitchen built around whole animal cookery, meat-forward prep, and real product knowledge not plating pasta for a dining room.
Duties
- What you'll actually do:
- - Cooking our menu and keeping the kitchen running without hand-holding
- - Customer service - on our counter and on the phone
- - Managing kitchen prep and the kitchen's inventory
- - Work directly with the butchery team
- - Maintain a clean, organized kitchen that passes inspection every time
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant service; 3-5 years of experience is required
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Servsafe credentials are required.
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers
What we don't need:
- A resume full of fine dining fluff
- Someone who's not interested in learning how to break down a whole animal
- A cook who wants to be a chef without doing the work
