Lead Line Cook

Looking to hire: Lead Line Cook (Brunch and Evening Service Roles Available)

Maya Congee Cafe is a small, focused kitchen centered around congee and thoughtfully prepared dishes. We are evolving into a more intentional dine-in experience and are looking for a cook who can grow with us.

This is not a traditional fast-paced line kitchen.

We value consistency, attention to detail, and a steady, calm service flow.

Responsibilities:

Execute a focused menu of congee and small plates

Maintain clean, organized, and efficient work habits

Follow plating standards with care and consistency

Support a smooth and controlled service during busy hours

Food prep and kitchen organization

We are looking for someone who:

Has kitchen experience (preferred)

Works cleanly and with intention

Takes pride in how food looks and is served

Stays calm under pressure

Is reliable and open to learning

Details:

3-4 days/week - 6-7hr shifts

AM & PM shifts, must be available on weekends

$140 - $150 per shift (based on experience)

Opportunity to grow with the team as we expand evening service

Our kitchen is small, collaborative, and evolving.

We are building something steady and thoughtful, and looking for someone who wants to be part of that process.
