Lead Line Cook

St. John's Golf and Country Club, located in St. Augustine, FL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Lead Line Cook! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused propertyorganization. As part of Troon, you'll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Line Cook to join our culinary team at a high-volume, semi-private country club. This role is responsible for leading day-to-day line operations, ensuring food quality and consistency, and supporting a strong, professional kitchen culture. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, member-focused environment. Compensation: $20.00 per hour. Key responsibilities include:

  • Learns and maintains standards in food production and quality
  • Expedites orders in a timely manner
  • Practices excellent operational sanitation
  • Executes scheduled banquet functions
  • Maintains a professional relationship with fellow associates
  • Helps reduce loss and waste
  • Communicates equipment repair needs to the Chef
  • Actively participates in training efforts
  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance
  • Attends staff meetings
  • Checks and dates all deliveries received and reports any variances to the Chef in charge
  • Verifies that all coolers are at proper temperatures and are cleaned daily
  • Processes inventory requisitions and receives supplies as necessary for quality production
  • Prepares the proper amount of food according to production or forecast sheets and production plans
  • Prepares items in accordance with established recipes to ensure a consistent product

Minimum qualifications include an associate's degree in Culinary Arts and 2 years of culinary experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Other qualifications include ServSafe certification preferred.
