THE ROLE

Our Lead Line Cooks/Expeditors bring our guests comfort and joy by serving as guardians of our commitment to uncompromising quality and craftsmanship. They ensure all dishes, allergies, and modifications meet company standards while maintaining the flow of service and supporting an exceptional guest experience.

Lead Line Cooks/Expeditors are passionate about food, quality, cleanliness, and teamwork. They play a key role in kitchen operations while helping coach and support fellow team members through strong communication and operational leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

We expect our Lead Line Cooks/Expeditors to:

  • Lead by example and support a positive, team oriented kitchen culture
  • Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, cleanliness, and food safety
  • Support operational excellence and efficient service execution
  • Live Tatte’s core values and help support our mission
  • Have flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, holidays, afternoons, and evenings
  • Lead Line Cook/Expeditor Primary Responsibilities
  • Maintain the flow of service while upholding company standards for ticket times, food quality, plating specifications, and guest modifications
  • Ensure all orders meet guest expectations and company quality standards
  • Ensure all orders are visually appealing and plated according to standards
  • Complete daily safety and sanitation checks using company systems and tools
  • Communicate pertinent information to ensure guest satisfaction and operational efficiency
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed
  • Report maintenance concerns, faulty equipment, or accidents to leadership immediately
  • Maintain positive working relationships with team members, managers, support team members, and guests
  • Perform all responsibilities safely while maintaining a clean and organized work environment
  • Uphold food safety and sanitation standards at all times
  • Other duties as assigned

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast paced kitchen environment
  • Must be able to lift, move, and carry 50+ pounds
  • Must be able to work 8+ hours a day on feet
  • Ability to grasp and reach overhead
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Required

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced kitchen environment
  • Commitment to food quality, cleanliness, and safety
  • Must be validated on all savory team stations

Preferred

  • Previous experience working as a Lead Line Cook, Expeditor, Line Cook, or similar kitchen leadership role
  • Experience working in a high volume restaurant or food service environment
