OverallResponsibility:Leadthepreventivemaintenanceprogram,repairsandprocess modifications of facility structures and equipment.
Mustbeable to fill infor othermaintenanceemployees asnecessary to maintain smooth operations.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensurethatplantoperationsarecompliantwithfoodsafetyregulationsandoccupationalsafety regulations (FDA, OSHA, EPA, etc.).
BudgetControl:
Workwithseniormanagementtodetermineanoperationsbudgetforprojectedplantrenovationsor equipment purchases.
Proactivelyseekoutnewtechnologiesformoreproficientprocessingorforthedesignofnew products.
InventoryControl:
Maintainanadequatesupplyofequipmentpartsandmaterialstoensureplantoperationsrun efficiently.
PreventiveMaintenance:
Maintaina cleanandsafeworkenvironment.
Schedule/prioritizeworkordersbaseduponemergencies
Verifythatrepairs/modificationsarecompletedaccurately,andthatsufficientdocumentationis completed in support of the food safety and occupational safety programs.
Sustainintegrityandproperfunctionofprocessingequipmentandcomponents. Verifythat processingequipmentismaintainedaccordingtomanufacturerspecificationsorregulatory requirements.
Schedule / perform preventive maintenance tasks on all processing equipment as necessary to maintainsafeandlegalproducts.
Performpreoperative/postmaintenanceverificationinspectionstoensurethatequipmentisintact and is free from build-up or other contaminants and as necessary for post maintenance / pre-operational line clearance.
Verifythefunctionofprocessingequipmentandproducttestingequipmentaccordingtothefood safety program (i.e., magnets, etc.).
ProcessModifications/EquipmentReplacement:
Verifysanitarydesignstandardsareutilizedwhenperformingprocessmodificationsorequipment replacements.
Managetheinspectionapprovalprocesswhencommissioningnewprocessing equipment.
Workwithmanagementtoverifythatcalibrationrecordsarecurrentforfoodprocessing andproduct testing equipment.
