Overview
Pay Range: $27.00 - 30.00 an hour The Lead Maintenance Technician is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day workflow in the maintenance department. Under supervision from the campus, this position assists with directing the work of facility staff. This position also oversees projects and preventative maintenance schedules in their area of expertise.

Quaifications
High school diploma or GED (required)
Minimum five (5) years of experience in building maintenance that include a skilled trade (required)
Experience with electrical test equipment and welding equipment (preferred)
Experience with repair and construction trades (Painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, welding and/or HVAC)
Basic computer skills (required)
Experience using forklifts and scissor lifts (preferred)
Common maintenance practices including construction, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and welding
Safe and proper of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and welding tools
Understanding of how to design and implement preventive maintenance schedules to avoid equipment failures
Flexibility to address urgent repairs and unexpected issues that may arise during work
Lead, train, and support a team of maintenance staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
Able and willing to:

Use computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to process transactions, store documents, enter data, or perform assigned tasks
Safely ambulate and/or maneuver when on-site at Company locations

Frequently (up to 60% of workday)
Work is primarily performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment when on site at assigned company location. Employees may be required to work outdoors under a variety of weather conditions. Employees must be able to safely ambulate when on company premises.

Onsite; Work environments may include exposure to student learning and mechanical environments with a variety of conditions. Employees must be able to follow all safety precautions including the use of personal-protective equipment. Employees must also be able to adhere to site-specific safety procedures.
