Lead Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee building maintenance operations and lead a team of technicians. This role ensures that all building systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulations while delivering high quality tenant experience. Strong leadership and technical expertise are essential for success in this role.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise maintenance technicians in daily operations
• Ensure timely completion of maintenance and emergency repairs
• Review and approve work orders and maintenance documentation
• Coordinate with property management, vendors, and contractors
• Oversee preventive maintenance programs and system inspections
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company policies
• Provide training and guidance to maintenance staff
• Participate in on call rotation for emergency maintenance

Education & Training

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Technical or vocational training in building maintenance preferred
• Certification in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related trades preferred
• Ongoing training in safety procedures, code compliance, and building systems encouraged

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Solid knowledge of commercial building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety)
• Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills
• Advanced troubleshooting and problem solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
• Proficiency with maintenance management software and diagnostic tools
• Three to five years of building maintenance experience
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
