    Chewy is seeking aLead Maintenance Technicianat our pharmacy fulfillment center inLouisville, KY! You will have the opportunity to apply your experience to support the fast-paced operations of our multifaceted fulfillment center environment. Additionally, you will develop new and valuable skills and experience ingrowingworld of e-commerce fulfillment operations. This leader will be hands-on with Facilities Technicians and will build and manage relationships across all shifts.     What you will do:

    • You will perform maintenance and repair, housekeeping and plumbing, metalfabricationand carpentry to support our fast-paced fulfillment center operations.

    • Ensure that all fulfillment center equipment isoperatingproperly and ensure a safe working environment for all your fulfillment Team Members.

    • Complete periodic and general maintenance tasks throughout the facility - as assigned and according to schedule.

    • Perform daily inspections of conveyor systems, shipping, and packing equipment areas.

    • Maintain accountability for assigned equipment and associated gear list, reducing loss, damage, and defects to zero.

    • Complete repair order andmaintainparts usage records.

    • Troubleshoot mechanical and electricalproblems,you will visually check, test, and evaluate the condition of components, equipment, and circuits.

    • Follow company procedures.

    • Manage a team of up to 10 hourly facilities associates.

    • Responsible for achieving all facilities goals.

    • Primary POC for P1/P2 issues

    • Mentor,trainand develop teammates for career progression and learning.

    • Ability to develop and share standard processes across the shifts andnetwork.

    • Create a positive team culture that encourages all employees in the FC to provide feedback and inspire change within the facility, adapt to the ever-evolving business, and stay focused on the customer experience.

    • Use the site CMMS system (Fiix) tooptimizeperfect PM/CM execution and provide insights to improve overall performance.

    • Other duties as assigned. 

    What you will need:

    • Leadership experience

    • Effective communicator and leader for employees, direct reports, cross-functional teams, and executive leadership

    • Proventrack recordto quickly adapt and drive the right results using data.

    • The highest levels of integrity and ethics

    • At least36 monthsofpreviousfacility maintenance experience (Mechanics and Maintainers, Construction and Engineering, Aviation and Transportation Repair)

    • Must have electrical experience or understanding.

    • Able todemonstrateelectrical knowledge of 24v ac/dc control circuits, 120v power & control circuits, 77v-480v power circuits.

    • Experience usingappropriate toolsand maintenance equipment.

    • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, twist and turnfrequently

    • Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination, and good balance to work at ground level, with the ability to climb and work at elevations up to 35 feet above floor level.

    • Interest in math, electricity, shop mechanics, electric motors, and appliances

    • Goodat solving problems.

    • Understand potential exposure exists to high voltage current, welding equipment, vehicle and equipment lubricants and solvents.

    • Ability to work nights and weekends.

    • Experience with firesystemand fire alarm electronic devices.

    • Ability to read,understand& interpretelectrical, pneumatic, & plumbing schematics.

    • Experience with conveyor mechanical systems (belts, drives, tracking valves, VFD motor controllers, motorstartersand control cabinet

    • PLC knowledge - input/outputs troubleshooting orsome programming.

    • HVAC - sophisticated knowledge or experience.

    • Communicate preventative maintenance and repair opportunities to ensure system performance.

    • Cancommunicate, make sound decisions, and excel under pressure.

    • Recognize problems and repair before breakdown occurs.

    • Proactive problem solving & mechanicalproficiencyskills.

    • Ability and willingness to train others
