About the Opportunity

A growing recycling and manufacturing operation is seeking a Maintenance Lead Technician to oversee facility and equipment maintenance while providing leadership to the maintenance team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, maintaining safety compliance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives throughout the plant.

The ideal candidate will bring strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, hands-on experience with industrial equipment, and the ability to lead maintenance activities in a fast-paced production environment.

What You'll Do

● Lead, coach, and support maintenance technicians to ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently

● Perform and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment

● Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems

● Drive equipment reliability initiatives to reduce downtime and improve plant performance

● Conduct routine inspections of equipment, systems, and facility infrastructure

● Coordinate maintenance projects, repairs, and specialized work with outside vendors and contractors

● Maintain maintenance records, inspection reports, and repair documentation

● Support equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning activities

● Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and increased equipment efficiency

● Communicate maintenance priorities, risks, and status updates to plant leadership

● Enforce safety procedures and ensure compliance with all environmental and workplace regulations

● Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the facility

What You Bring

● 3+ years of maintenance experience within manufacturing, recycling, industrial processing, or similar environments

● Experience leading, mentoring, or directing maintenance personnel

● Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems

● Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and equipment reliability practices

● Experience managing maintenance projects and coordinating repair activities

● Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

● Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word

● Technical certification or degree in maintenance, electrical, mechanical, or related field preferred

● Commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence

● Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
