Responsibilities:

Lead Maintenance Technician position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provide continual training to maintenance team members
• Ensure that maintenance team members are following safety policies and procedures
• Provide project leadership and guidance to the maintenance team as needed
• Work with supervision to set job priorities to meet production goals
• Work to ensure PM’s are completed
• Provide input for required weekend project/repair work
• Drive the weekend repairs during scheduled weekends
• Troubleshoot and repair of mechanical equipment and building systems
• Rebuild, repair, and/or replace equipment/machinery
• Perform preventative maintenance- Lubrication/inspection
• Assist with the installation of equipment and machinery
• Troubleshoot/repair/replace industrial electrical equipment- Motors, Drives, controls
• Log work activities for equipment history, parts management and reporting
• Collaborate with management and other departments regarding maintenance issues throughout the facility
• Other duties as assigned

This is a safety sensitive position.  This position is on-site.

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates for the maintenance technician position should possess the following:

• Strong ability to troubleshoot all facility utilities and equipment (Water, Waste, Electrical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Ventilation and Life Safety systems)

• Strong leadership traits and conflict resolution skills

• Good communication skills, both verbally and written

• Ability to work under pressure

• Ability to direct employees in daily tasks and assist in troubleshooting

• Ability to train employees

• Ability to prioritize equipment breakdowns based off the needs of the plant

• Proficient in Root cause failure analysis

• No attendance or disciplinary issues in the last year

• Proficient in MS Office

• Excellent safety record and demonstrates a heightened safety awareness

• Refrigeration experience a plus

• Mechanical skills and understanding of basic power transmission equipment
• Ability to use common hand tools
• Willingness to work overtime and be on time when scheduled
• Ability to read, write and speak English preferred
• Strong work ethic and eye for detail
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Industrial Electrical controls experience
• Industrial Maintenance Experience
• Allen Bradley PLC experience a plus
