Job Summary and Qualifications

Provides day-to-day oversight and leadership to create exceptional patient experience and working environment for staff and providers. Position has oversight of the quality, service, cost and operational integrity of assigned services. Ensures compliance with patient care quality standards as it relates to the care provided. Assures competency of all personnel. Maintains efficient and effective department operation while maintaining compliance with all ACR, CMS, the State of North Carolina, and other regulatory guidelines. Acts as a resource regarding mammography services for technologists, radiologists, referring physicians, and other departments. Assists with the organization and training for existing staff, new hires, and student internships. Under the direction of a physician, performs a variety of mammography procedures on patients of all ages. Ensures proper patient care by prioritizing physician orders and coordinating workflow to optimize care for all patients. 

What qualifications you will need:
  • Required Education: Graduate of JRCERT accredited School of Radiography. 
  • Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare or related field strongly preferred 
  • Required License: Must be ARRT registered in Radiography and Mammography. BLS certified. 
  • Preferred License: None 
  • Required Experience: Experience as a registered mammography technologist working in a multidisciplined radiology department or imaging center. Demonstrates excellent customer service skills, leadership skills, skills managing quality improvement and staff productivity. Must have demonstrated knowledge and experience with ACR/FDA and MQSA accreditation. 
  • Preferred Experience: One (1) year of mammography supervisory experience in multi-disciplined radiology department or imaging center.
