Schedule: FT Days (Mon–Fri, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM + every 4th Saturday)Required Experience: 5+ years in acute care hospital or ambulatory imaging settingThe client is seeking an experienced Lead Mammography Technologist to support daily mammography operations while ensuring high-quality patient care, compliance, workflow coordination, and imaging excellence. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in mammography, leadership abilities, and experience working within a fast-paced outpatient imaging environment.
This role requires a detail-oriented technologist capable of performing mammography procedures, supporting departmental operations, maintaining regulatory compliance, and assisting with workflow coordination and quality standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesMammography & Patient Care• Perform high-quality mammography imaging procedures according to physician orders and facility protocols
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and education throughout imaging procedures
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
• Follow radiation safety and infection control standards
• Ensure proper positioning and imaging quality for diagnostic accuracy
Leadership & Department Support• Support daily workflow and departmental coordination
• Assist with scheduling, prioritization, and staff support activities
• Provide guidance and mentorship to technologists and support staff
• Help maintain productivity and patient throughput standards
• Assist leadership with operational and quality initiatives
Compliance & Quality Assurance• Ensure compliance with MQSA, ACR, state, and facility standards
• Maintain imaging equipment quality assurance procedures
• Participate in inspections, audits, and accreditation readiness
• Monitor imaging quality and patient care standards
• Support continuous process improvement initiatives
Documentation & Operations• Maintain complete and accurate imaging records
• Utilize PACS, RIS, and EMR systems effectively
• Coordinate with radiologists, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ensure timely image processing and reporting workflow
