Job Summary and Qualifications
  • Obtains quality mammograms with the ability to adapt to specific patient morphology.  

  •  Complies with radiation safety guidelines for patient and self. Utilizes Personal Protective Equipment. Operates radiographic equipment safely and competently.
  • Demonstrates the ability to perform all necessary computer operations (i.e. Meditech). Ensure proper charges are entered and referring physicians orders are verified.   
  • Renders patient care in a professional and courteous manner.   
  • Prepares examination rooms for mammography procedures. Monitors inventory of supplies during room rotation and maintain room cleanliness and neat appearance.  
  • Demonstrates knowledge of quality assurance and assists the supervisor in the implementation and documentation of all policies and procedures mandated by the FDA through MQSA. 
  • Reviews each exam for technical accuracy (i.e. markers on images, technical quality, anatomical positioning, annotation, etc.) at workstation. Completes verification process in PACS. 
  • Demonstrates willingness to assist in additional duties such as film and report filing and answering the telephone when appropriate. 
  • Completes and maintains educational requirements. 
  • Maintains strict confidentiality regarding employees and patient information according to Policy and Procedure 
What qualifications you will need:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • (ARRT-R) Radiography
  • Vocational School Graduate
