As a Lead Mechanic, you will serve as a working lead and be responsible for leading the day-to-day functions of the department. You'll be supporting production flow, team coordination, and hands-on component maintenance from induction through final release.
What you'll do:
Support daily production flow, and shift coordination.
Lead daily stand-ups and represent the cell in production and cross-functional meetings.
Monitor training progress, maintain skills matrices, and support employee development.
Review timesheets, labor utilization, and production performance metrics.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, COPQ reduction, and corrective actions.
Coordinate with Engineering and support teams to resolve technical and workflow issues.
Oversee preventive maintenance and calibration activities to ensure compliance.
Perform component induction, documentation review, and AD/mod status verification.
Disassemble, inspect, repair, assemble, and document components in accordance with technical specifications.
Apply maintenance manuals, technical data, blueprints, and support test cell operations as needed.
Basic Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience performing induction, disassembly, inspection, and assembly in a production, maintenance, repair, or overhaul (MRO) environment.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to sit or stand for at least 50% of shift.
