Job Title: Lead Mechanic / Pipefitter
Location: Ashland
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: Competitive salary based on experience + benefits
 
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Mechanic / Pipefitter to oversee installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of piping systems and mechanical equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, extensive hands-on experience, and the ability to direct crews while ensuring quality workmanship and safety compliance.
 
Key Responsibilities
•             Lead and supervise pipefitting and mechanical crews on job sites
•             Install, repair, and maintain piping systems including industrial, commercial, and mechanical systems
•             Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings
•             Coordinate workflow, materials, and equipment needs
•             Troubleshoot mechanical and piping issues efficiently
•             Ensure work meets company standards, project specifications, and safety requirements
•             Perform inspections and preventative maintenance
•             Train and mentor team members
•             Maintain accurate job documentation and reports
•             Communicate effectively with project managers, contractors, and customers
 
Qualifications
•             Minimum of 5+ years of pipefitting/mechanical experience
•             Previous leadership or foreman experience preferred
•             Strong knowledge of piping systems, mechanical equipment, and hand/power tools
•             Ability to read blueprints and schematics
•             Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
•             Valid driver’s license required
•             OSHA certification or additional trade certifications preferred
