    About the Role:

spent years feeling like a cog in a big engineering firm—working on just one piece of a project and never seeing the full picture—this is your opportunity to change that.

You’ll join a tight-knit team of three and step in as the mechanical expert, leading full HVAC and plumbing system designs from concept through stamped construction documents. This isn’t a role about designing one component—you’ll own the entire system. You’ll have real influence over project direction, creative latitude on complex retrofits, and a direct hand in building out the engineering team.

This role is ideal for someone who:

    •       Wants to work on full system designs—not just parts

    •       Is tired of limited ownership at a large firm and wants more autonomy

    •       Craves creative problem-solving and challenging retrofit work (not just 1-to-1 replacements)

    •       Is ready to step into leadership and mentor junior engineers

    •       Wants a say in how the engineering practice grows

    • PE required (any U.S. state);

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide mechanical design and stamped construction documents (drawings and specifications)

    • Conduct field verification and analysis of existing systems to inform design

    • Perform load calculations and equipment selection

    • Design HVAC ductwork and piping layouts

    • Support operations team with permits and code compliance

    • Coordinate designs with other disciplines (controls, structural, electrical)

    • Mentor and guide assigned engineering personnel

    • Perform audits of building systems and collaborate on energy savings calculations

    • Develop project schedules, budgets, and contracts with project teams

    • Support sales with customer visits and technical presentations

    • Communicate technical concepts clearly to clients and non-technical stakeholders

    • Stay current on industry trends and new technologies

    Requirements

    Requirements:

    • 4+ years of engineering experience.
    • Professional Engineer License.
    • Working knowledge of duct and/or pipe systems and associated fittings.
    • Experience in detailing using 3D software (CAD & Revit).
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications; familiarity with Bluebeam Revu is preferred.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with strong written and verbal communication skills.

    Benefits

    • Hybrid flexibility

    • Medical, Dental, Vision (with employer contributions)

    • 401(k) with company match

    • PTO & Paid Holidays

    • Tuition Reimbursement

    • Fitness & Gym Reimbursement

    • RTD Benefits and Taxi Vouchers

    • Employee Assistance Program

    • Company events, recognition, and awards
