Scope of Responsibility:

Responsible for the execution of the productivity of the department. Ensure the overall efficacy of the department and assist the supervisor with day to day operation.

Essential Duties:

  • Direct a crew of approximately 10 or more people to complete a job daily and to stay under or at the allotted quoted hours for their WC
  • Responsible for working safely and wearing the proper PPE at all times. Also, report any unsafe acts or conditions in any WC to the Team Lead and/or Supervisor immediately
  • Read and understand prints
  • Check for proper equipment, parts, and devices to go into the shelter. Check against the pick ticket, item list, options list, etc…
  • Educate and train crew on the quoted hours allotted for each WC
  • Ensure the proper maintenance of equipment, compliance with electrical codes and adherence to safety regulations
  • Report part shortages, equipment problems, shelter problems, and tool problems to the Team Lead and/or Supervisor immediately
  • Hold team members accountable for safety, quality and hours in EVERY job worked
  • Inspect all work performed by the crew for quality once complete
  • Sign Traveler and call for Quality for In-Process Inspection
  • Keep all work areas clean throughout the day and make sure that all work and other assigned areas are completely clean before leaving for the day
  • Follow all department and company policies and procedures
  • Perform all other assigned task that is set forth by the Team Lead and/or Supervisor. This is to ensure the completion of all other work and may involve scheduling and working overtime.

Position Requirements:

  • Experience with troubleshooting
  • Must be able to communicate with, and accurately instruct crew members on issues regarding safety, quality, and production hours
  • Training in vocational schools, or related on-the-job experience.
  • Electrician certification is preferred, but not required.
  • Associate's degree a plus, but not required
  • Must be able to work efficiently without supervision
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving entire body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, bending, twisting and handling of materials
  • Must be able to work in an outside manufacturing environment for long shifts, including weekends
  • Position requires manual dexterity, arm-hand steadiness, and a safety-minded individual
  • Must be able to work in an open environment exposed to extreme temperatures
  • Must have the ability to concentrate on tasks for long periods of time and be able to observe and receive information from all relevant sources
