At ATS, you will be the go-to expert who keeps production moving, champions continuous improvement, and develops the next generation of technicians. You will pair deep technical skill with data-driven insight to prevent failures before they happen.
Advance reliability: Design and execute best-in-class preventive maintenance and sophisticated break/fix on mechanical, electrical, and integrated systems. Engineer upgrades that extend asset life and improve throughput.
Master controls: Program, troubleshoot, and fine-tune complex control architectures—diagnosing software, hardware, and configuration issues to stabilize and optimize lines.
Predict and prevent: Deploy infrared thermography, ultrasonic testing, power quality analysis, laser interferometry, ball bar methods, and vibration analysis to assess condition and launch proactive maintenance.
Drive CI impact: Lead events, apply CI tools, and deliver measurable results and cost savings.
Be resourceful: Identify and procure parts and supplies; recommend alternative components and engineered solutions for higher reliability.
Elevate standards: Perform to industry benchmarks; uphold 5S and meticulous housekeeping.
Fabricate and repair: Operate lathes, drill presses, grinders, and related metalworking tools; perform welding to build or restore parts as needed.
Improve the system: Research emerging tools and techniques; document and share innovations across ATS locations.
Influence decisions: Provide inputs for new equipment justifications, rebuild/repair proposals, savings analyses, and innovation cases.
Leverage data: Keep records current, review CMMS histories, and analyze trends to guide maintenance plans.
Support the business: Supply technical content for sales quotations and complete T&M assignments.
Grow others: Train and coach less experienced technicians; take on project management responsibilities as assigned.
Protect people: Follow all safety policies; stay situationally aware and address unsafe conditions or behaviors immediately.
This role involves regular standing and walking; frequent hand use; reaching; climbing via ladders or lifts and balancing; and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling in confined spaces. Clear communication is essential. Sitting is occasional. You may occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. Close and color vision are regularly required. Expect occasional exposure to outdoor weather and electrical shock risks. Work is typically in a very loud factory setting with possible exposure to hazardous materials and greasy or slippery floors.
