What you need to know about this position:
+ Columbus Regional Health General Surgery (CRHGS) is a general surgery and weight-loss institute. breast surgery and high-risk breast clinic practice with eight board-certified surgeons, one board-certified medical bariatrician, three nurse practitioners and one physician assistant. CRHGS is a regional leader in surgery procedures including breast treatment, bariatric, hernia, laparoscopic and gastroenterology surgery. The office is located in Medical Office Building South, on Columbus Regional Health’s main campus.
+ The Lead Medical Assistant Liaison for (CRHGS) general surgery works under the direct supervision of the assigned offices, physician, mid-level licensed provider, office manager, and practice manager, and in cooperation with other office staff, in assisting with safe and effective patient care in compliance with established standards and protocols of Columbus Regional Health Physicians' goals and objectives.
+ This position provides clinical leadership and support to the physicians and medical practice. Additionally, the position will continue provision of patient care as dictated by the staffing schedule.
+ The shift for this full-time position is Monday through Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM.
+ The hourly range for this position is between $18.55 and $27.85. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience. The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
What is required for this position:
Education and/or Experience
+ Associate’s Degree or certificate in Medical Assistant, Nursing or Practical Nurse Program.
+ Two years related experience and/or training in a physician office setting.
+ Equivalent combination of education and/or experience
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations
+ Certification or Registration as a medical assistant required through a recognized certification organization such as the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA); American Medical Technologists (AMT); Medical Assistant Certification from the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP); National Healthcare Association (NHA) or the Accreditation Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or national Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) within 90 days of hire.
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
