Position Overview
Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a dedicated Lead Medical Biller/Coder to join their client's dynamic team in Greensboro, North Carolina. This role involves taking charge of the billing and coding operations, ensuring compliance, and leading a team to enhance revenue cycle efficiency. The position is fully onsite.
Responsibilities
- Oversee medical coding, claim submission, payment posting, and accounts receivable management.
- Conduct thorough due diligence, ensuring coding accuracy and compliance with ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Facilitate timely claims processing and reimbursement by submitting accurate claims to Medicare, Medicaid, and other payers.
- Review and reconcile Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and Electronic Remittance Advice (ERAs) for payment accuracy.
- Manage accounts receivable, addressing denials, rejections, and underpayments through effective resolution strategies.
- Lead and mentor billing and coding staff, providing training and guidance as needed.
- Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and revenue cycle teams to resolve billing concerns and improve processes.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and billing/coding standards.
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum of 5 years of medical billing and coding experience, preferably in a physician practice setting.
- Proficiency in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems, and knowledge of Medicare billing requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all coding and billing tasks.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient and financial information.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred
- CPC, CPB, CCS-P, CPMA, or other recognized coding or billing certification.
- Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) or comparable EHR/practice management systems.
- Previous lead, supervisory, or management experience in a similar setting.
Work Hours
The position requires full-time availability from Monday to Friday, working from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Additional Details
- Pay range: $34 - $38 per hour depending on experience and licensure. This is a temporary-to-hire opportunity, fully onsite.
