    Job Summary

    The Lead Metadata & Data Products Specialist leads the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise data assets, metadata, analytical models, and data quality frameworks. This role works across data, analytics, engineering, and governance teams to ensure enterprise data is accurate, trusted, compliant, and aligned with business objectives. The position also provides technical leadership, develops enterprise standards, and mentors team members to improve data management and AI governance practices.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise data products, datasets, analytical models, and governance frameworks.
    • Develop and maintain metadata, data lineage, validation, and data stewardship standards.
    • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives to improve data quality, consistency, explainability, and governance.
    • Create repeatable standards, templates, documentation, and best practices for enterprise data management.
    • Evaluate enterprise data processes and recommend improvements for efficiency and compliance.
    • Partner with engineering, product, analytics, and governance teams to align data initiatives with business objectives.
    • Ensure enterprise data assets comply with governance policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Mentor and guide data specialists while promoting continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
    • Participate in enterprise working groups and technical design sessions.
    • Support responsible AI initiatives and enterprise data governance programs.
    • Identify opportunities to improve enterprise analytics, metadata management, and data reliability.
    • Perform additional data management and governance responsibilities as assigned.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
    • 6+ years of experience in data management, analytics, AI, or data governance.
    • Experience leading enterprise data governance or metadata initiatives.
    • Strong knowledge of metadata management, data lineage, validation, and data stewardship.
    • Experience developing enterprise data standards, templates, and governance frameworks.
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • Experience leading cross-functional technical initiatives.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
    • Experience mentoring technical teams.
    • Familiarity with responsible AI, data ethics, and regulatory compliance is preferred.
    • Experience working in Agile environments is preferred.
