Mountlake Terrace Christian Church is firmly rooted in the Restoration Movement and has a rich heritage of missionary outreach and global evangelism. Throughout its history, the church has faithfully supported missionaries serving around the world. In keeping with this legacy, the congregation has consistently demonstrated its commitment to missions by dedicating 20% of its general fund giving to missionary support and outreach.

On a more member-oriented level, the current attendance during a Sunday morning is approximately 35 - 40. MLTCC holds monthly board and committee / ministry team meetings, monthly meetings of the men's and women's fellowship groups, weekly Bible study groups, and an enthusiastic tradition of monthly First Sunday potluck lunches after morning worship. Special services include a Good Friday evening service and a Christmas Candlelight Service, typically the Sunday evening before Christmas.

MLTCC seeks to call a lead minister to shepherd the congregation. This would be our one full-time staff member. Working alongside the elders and church leadership, the minister will develop and implement a Christ-centered vision for worship, discipleship, evangelism, and service. Our church is located north of Seattle a few blocks east from the I-5 corridor. Mountlake Terrace city center is two blocks west of the church.

Our minister is responsible, under the direction of the MLTCC Board and Elder(s), for the administration of the evangelistic activities at Mountlake Terrace Christian Church, which shall include the promotion of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the teachings of the Bible.

Our minister shall, under the general direction of the Board of Elders, preach, teach, baptize new believers, minister to the spiritual needs of the members of the congregation, and be willing to conduct funerals and perform weddings (as requested).

Weekly responsibilities:

• Teach Sunday morning bible school session
• Deliver Sunday morning sermon (and Sunday evening sermon if required)
• Provide Sunday morning meditations for communion and stewardship
• Assist, mentor, and support singing during worship service in collaboration with worship team
• Provide for weekly bible study
• Provide counseling and support for those in need of assistance.
• Lead and participate with visitation to church members confined at home or at hospital when needs arise and are made known.
• Assist, mentor, and support on-going discipleship training of deacons, elders, and church members.

Administrative/Office functions:

• Have agreed-upon office hours for members and visitors to church.
• Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day administrative operations of the church office, ensuring that essential functions are carried out efficiently.
• Provide administrative support as needed to assist church ministries, staff, and leadership.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
• Audio/visual equipment operation experience preferred.

Other responsibilities:

• Provide leadership, mentoring, and support for the planning and implementation of church ministries-such as Vacation Bible School (VBS), Christian camps, missions, and community outreach-while collaborating with church leaders, local congregations, and ministry partners to advance the mission of sharing the gospel.
• Conduct follow-up calls and greeting outreach to new visitors.
