We are seeking a passionate, creative, and highly skilled Lead Mixologist / Head Bartender to elevate our beverage program and lead our bar team. Design, develop, and execute a seasonal, high-quality cocktail program that aligns with the venue’s brand and culinary direction.
Create house-made syrups, infusions, bitters, and garnishes.
Curate and maintain the wine, beer, and spirits list, ensuring a diverse and profitable selection.
Stay ahead of industry trends, incorporating sustainable practices and modern mixology techniques.
Train, mentor, and supervise the bartending and bar-back team on mixology techniques, product knowledge, and hospitality standards.
Establish and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for bar prep, cleanliness, and service speed.
Assist management with scheduling, performance evaluations, and fostering a positive, collaborative team culture.
Manage bar inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships to control beverage costs and maximize profitability.
Conduct regular inventory counts and monitor pour costs, waste, and variance.
Ensure full compliance with all local health, safety, and alcohol service regulations (e.g., SERVSAFE, TIPS).
Maintain a pristine, organized, and fully stocked bar environment.
Provide exceptional, engaging, and personalized service to guests, acting as the face of the bar.
Educate guests on spirits, cocktail profiles, and food pairings.
Handle guest feedback and resolve issues gracefully with a hospitality-first mindset.
Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of high-volume bartending experience, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership or Head Bartender role.
Knowledge: Deep understanding of classic cocktails, spirits history, flavor pairing, and advanced mixology techniques.
Certifications: Active alcohol server certification (TIPS/LEAD) and food safety certification (ServSafe) required.
Financial Acumen: Experience with inventory management software, menu costing, and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; ability to remain calm and lead a team under pressure.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 40 lbs (kegs/cases), and work late nights, weekends, and holidays.
