Join West Ashley Diagnostic Imaging as a Lead MRI Technologist. In this outpatient imaging setting, you will combine advanced MRI expertise with exceptional patient care to deliver high-quality diagnostic exams. This role includes performing MRI scans efficiently, supporting daily operations, mentoring staff, and ensuring an outstanding patient experience.

Responsibilities

1. Complete scans effectively and efficiently:

• Collect pertinent data about the patient and the procedure
• Select the most appropriate cost-effective action plan after reviewing all pertinent data and assessing the patient's abilities and condition
• Screen patient for ferrous and RF-sensitive material before the patient enters the magnetic field
• Position and prepare patients for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures• Select appropriate immobilization devices
• Review the patient's chart and the physician's request to determine optimal scanning parameters for the suspected pathology• Prepare and administer contrast agents in accordance with state and federal regulations• Enter necessary patient information to initiate the scan(s)• Assess and monitor the patient's physical and mental status throughout the procedure• Review images to determine if additional scans will enhance the diagnostic value of the procedure• Document diagnostic, treatment and patient data in the appropriate record. Documentation must be timely, accurate, concise and complete• Archive images to data storage devices according to established guidelines• Keep work flow in such a manner that it is an effective use of time, equipment and supplies2.
