This role is for an MRI Supervisor who acts as a clinical leader and administrator for the Magnetic Resonance Imaging department. You'll ensure the department operates efficiently, maintains regulatory compliance, and provides high-quality patient care, all while managing staff performance, scheduling, and promoting a cohesive team environment. You will also participate in the clinical workload by performing exams as needed.
What You Will Do In This Role
You will follow the same requirements of the staff tech while performing exams on patients.
You will, with the assistance of the Director, assess regulatory compliance, quality assurance issues, and operation functions of all patient care areas in the department of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, as well as provide data for PI plans.
You will assist with staff meetings, as needed.
You will assist in the management of staff concerns including performance issues, staffing concerns, and clinical activities.
You will continually assess professional performance of the staff with the assistance of the director, manager, and radiologists.
You will be knowledgeable of policies, procedures, and regulations as they pertain to MRI.
You will create and maintain staffing schedules through PTO requests.
You will monitor and adjust productivity hours (staff) based on volumes.
You will follow all facility-endorsed risk mitigation strategies for handling hazardous medications as defined by TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center’s Hazardous Drug Policy, as this position entails potential for exposure to hazardous medications.
You will promote teamwork and leadership within the department and the hospital, including communication between staff and physicians.
You will perform other duties as assigned.
What Qualifications You Will Need
Current registration with ARRT with advanced certification in MRI.
Supervisor/management experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
If not registered, you will be required to obtain registration within 6 months of hire or will be released from the position.
Current BLS upon hire.
