Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Full Time - Days

Join the close-knit Nuclear Medicine team at NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley. Here you will work with dynamic colleagues and a diverse in-patient population covering Nuclear Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology. Be immersed in a full spectrum of diagnostic and therapeutic care while assisting with the evaluation of a wide range of medical conditions, from thyroid disorders to hypertension, heart disease, and pulmonary disorders. As a Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you'll prepare daily room schedules and coordinate departmental daily work flow. Lend your expertise to staff technologists for positioning, image quality, and technical issues while escalating to management and vendors as needed. Act as a support to our PET Techs daily operational support, communication, and issue resolution. Prepare/administer radiopharmaceuticals along with records in accordance with regulatory agencies while ensuring contraindications prior to injection. In this highly visible role, you will provide clinical expertise to staff and students within the department while serving as a super-user for PACS/EPIC systems.

This is a full-time (Monday through Friday Day) position with an on-call rotation located at the NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital at 1980 Crompond Road, Cortlandt Manor, upper Westchester County, NY.

Preferred Criteria

  • Prior experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist including tomographic imaging
  • IV insertion/Isotope injection
  • Prior experience working with Philips/GE SIEMENS equipment, Well Counter, and Thyroid Probe
  • Post Primary certification in computed tomography ARRT(CT) or NMTCB(CT)

Required Criteria

  • New York State Radiologic Technologists License from Department of Health
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Nuclear Medicine
  • Graduate of an approved Nuclear Medicine Technology Program or A.S. or B.S. Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology
