Under the general supervision of the Manager of Radiology, the Lead Nurse Navigator leads and oversees the nurse navigation program, ensuring timely, coordinated, and patient-centered care across the continuum.
This role drives access to care by coordinating follow-up for patients with abnormal diagnostic findings and standardizing workflows to reduce time to diagnosis and treatment. Provides supervision and mentorship to Nurse Navigators, ensuring consistency, accountability, and high performance. Leads program development and quality improvement efforts, including tracking key metrics such as time to diagnosis, patient compliance, and satisfaction.
Serves as the central liaison between providers, departments, and community resources to remove barriers and streamline care. Align navigation services with organizational priorities to improve patient experience, clinical outcomes, access to care, and service line growth.
Qualifications
Education: 4 year/Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred
License/Certification: OK Current RN, BLS required
Experience: 3-5 years
