Responsibilities:The Lead Office Specialist II, under the direction of the Director of Operations or Practice Manager, will manage all aspects of the front desk operations including, but not limited to: Providing and coordinating services, scheduling patients, answering phones, obtaining precertifications, maintaining patient flow, triaging patient phone calls, assisting billing with the collecting of payments, monitoring the schedules daily for accuracy of scheduled appointments, maintains an adequate level of office supplies, assists the providers in the drug ordering, receipt, storage and medication preparation, possess flexibility and sensitivity to patient and staff needs while demonstrating a high level of critical thinking and problem solving skills needed to meet the changing needs of our patients. It is the responsibility of this position to ensure that the practice is covered at all times with the appropriate number of staff. Position may require supervision of Patient Service Representatives, Patient Service Associates, Health Information Management, Medical Transcriptionists and Surgical Coordinators.
