    Description

    Discover your exciting role

    To ensure all Shipping functions are carried out in an accurate, timely and safe manner. In addition,

    ensures all work processes are in compliance with Work Instructions in the area.

    Explore your tasks and responsibilities

    • Lead and participate with subordinates to identify and package correct parts per order.
    • Lead and participate with subordinates to ensure correct number of parts and accuracy of products

    shipped.

    • Process orders using the company's software for shipping and receiving.
    • Maintain proper shipping documentation.
    • Prepare products for shipment and identify required packaging materials.
    • Stage pallets for large shipments.
    • Instruct and maintain health, safety (including OSHA), and environmental procedures and ensure

    cleanliness of the area.

    • Continue to learn and expand one's capacity within this job by increasing knowledge and skill

    base.

    • Perform various other assignments per Supervisor or Manager's direction.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Lead a team of 2-5 shipping clerks. Provide training and serve as a mentor/role model to ensure high

    productivity and accurate work.

    Show your expertise

    • Knowledge of shipping practices to include documentation,
    • Supervisory experience in manufacturing or warehouse setting.
    • A proven record of working safely.
    • Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure.
    • Forklift experience.
    • Has a positive attitude and willing to do anything to improve the department and/or company.

    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

    High school degree or equivalent and two or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent

    combination of education and experience.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Ability to speak and understand Basic English with an emphasis on following directions, fundamental

    shop safety procedures, and production standards.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    Must display a strong understanding of basic math such as adding and subtracting whole numbers and

    fractions. Must possess accurate measuring skills using a tape measure.

    REASONING ABILITY

    Ability to identify problems, collect information, establish facts, and suggest solutions.

    and feel products. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move products up to 50 pounds. Specific

    vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
