Lead Order Picker

Job Summary

Perform, monitor, and assign work duties to warehouse personnel, prioritized, and established by the Area Manager, to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency. Drive a culture of safety, be self-motivated, with good organizational and team-building skills, and achieve high level results by embracing continuous improvement methodologies.

Essential Job Functions *

Communicates with Area Manager to determine priorities, observes work-in-progress, and advises Area Manager of issuesServes as a resource to team members - answers questions and resolves operating problemsDemonstrates "role model" work habits and fosters teamwork within the departmentEnhances team morale - discusses issues and suggestions with Area Manager and follows up with team members.Conducts on-the-job training and provides constructive feedback to employeesContinually seeks opportunities to improve department operationsEncourages team members to maintain a clean and organized work environmentMaintains a current knowledge of operating procedures and company productsMaintains a clean and organized work environment

Education & Experience

High School diploma or GED equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Two years of related experience is highly preferred

Work Environment

Order Processor: Fast paced, standing on concrete floors up to 8 hrs/day. Exposure to loud noise. Near vision required.

Order Processor: Medium- Heavy, lifting up to 30 lbs.
