Job Summary
We are seeking a highly qualified Lead OSP/ICT Information and Communication Technology Installation Technician to oversee complex inside and outside plant (OSP) structured cabling projects. This role requires specialized expertise in subterranean infrastructure, including maintenance holes and underground duct banks, combined with the administrative ability to produce as-built submittals. Due to the nature of our project sites, the candidate must meet strict security clearance and safety certification standards. Candidates are encouraged to apply ASAP as we have an immediate need in the Queens area.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the installation, maintenance, and inspection of underground fiber cable installation in duct banks, maintenance holes, vaults, and handholes. Knowledge of Confined Space Entry procedures for subterranean maintenance.
Lead large-scale ISP copper and fiber pulls, splicing (fusion) and advanced testing using EXFO Fluke Versiv or similar platforms.
Maintain accurate daily site logs and update blueprints with "redline " changes to reflect physical subterranean and ISP routes for submittal to the design team.
Qualifications:
BICSI Certification: Active BICSI Technician (TECH) is highly preferred; BICSI Installer 1,2 (Copper/Fiber) with OSP experience will be considered.
Must have daily transportation to NJ/NY
Ability to work in outdoor environments and confined spaces (maintenance holes/vaults).
Ability to lift 75+ lbs and operate boom lift, certification is a plus.
Security & Safety Requirements
Must have the ability to pass comprehensive background checks to obtain and maintain a SWAC (Secure Worker Access Consortium) card for access to high-security/restricted sites.
TWIC Transportation Worker Identification Credential - beneficial
Must possess a valid OSHA 30 or obtain before start.
Must consent to a pre-employment background and drug screen
