What it takes to excel
- Exceptional mechanical/technical aptitude and communication skills.
- Hiring Bonus! Up to $3,000 with commercial or industrial doors experience required.
- Ability to move 50+ lbs., climb ladders up to 20’, work on knees, and handle power tools safely.
- Customer relationship skills—persuasive when needed and fast, clear information relay.
- Detail-focused, quality-driven, reliable, and self-motivated.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 4+ years’ commercial door service experience; AAADM a plus.
- Knowledge of door types, brands, and hardware; adept with hand and power tools.
- Math skills involving fractions and precise tape-measure reading.
- Thorough understanding of safety regulations and protocols.
- Comfort with computers.
How we work
- Full-time shifts are available between Vortex business hours of 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday and must be able to work some overtime and on-call hours.
- Continuous on-going training provided as you continue to grow with Vortex.
- The job environment is fast paced and results oriented.
- Be able to drive a company vehicle and possess a valid driver license.
