The Lead Person, Packaging Multi-Line is responsible for providing direction and troubleshooting over two or more packaging lines. This is in addition to working at the highest level of the packaging work to which direction is being given.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Spends up to 50% of work time providing guidance to others in the packaging work groups including troubleshooting problems.
Provides to supervisors on performance of team members, but is not responsible for the evaluation and actions taken regarding team members.
Maintains highest level of skills in the packaging area in which guidance is given:
Operates automated packaging and palletizing equipment.
Sets-up equipment and performs daily inspections and makes minor adjustments to the equipment as necessary.
Samples packaged product, to verify if meets specifications.
Identifies non-conformance events and takes appropriate actions.
Performs manual tasks such as hand stacking product.
Periodically weighs product packages to ensure weight specifications are met.
Inspects supplies such as bags, super-sacks and pallets to ensure useable quality and quantity levels are present and to inventory levels.
