Position: Lead Parent Educator Supervisor:Community Schools CoordinatorWork Site:DistrictwideSummary:The Lead Parent Educator provides leadership, guidance, and support to a team of Parent Educators. This role is crucial in ensuring the successful implementation of high-quality parent education programs that empower families and promote children's healthy development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Supervision:
Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of Parent Educators, ensuring their professional growth and development.
Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and address any performance concerns.
Model best practices in parent education and provide ongoing support and guidance to the team.
Program Implementation:
Oversee the implementation of high-quality parent education programs, ensuring adherence to program standards and best practices.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with community partners and collaborate effectively to ensure coordinated services for families.
Participate in the development, review, and adaptation of parent education curricula and materials.
Family Support:
Provide direct support to families as needed, including needs assessments, resource coordination, and referrals to community services.
Advocate for the needs of families and children within the community.
Professional Development:
Plan, organize, and facilitate professional development opportunities for Parent Educators, including workshops, trainings, and conferences.
Stay abreast of current research and best practices in early childhood education and parent education.
Data Management & Reporting:
Collect, analyze, and report on program data, including participant outcomes, program effectiveness, and family satisfaction.
Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Administrative Duties:
Assist with program budgeting, scheduling, reporting and other administrative tasks as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Physical/Job Requirements:Standing, sitting, walking, lifting, carrying up to 30 pounds, climbing, bending, reaching, kneeling, driving a District vehicle (valid driver's license and defensive driver training), traveling long distances, writing, typing, word processing, reading, researching information, and effective communication skills.
