    Job Summary

    The Project Coordinator understands and executes steps and tasks to complete a project. They also maintain positive working relationships across the system.

    Essential Functions of the Role

    • Prepares and updates documents and presentations.
    • Creates communications and correspondence.
    • Coordinates program calendars, meetings, agendas and meeting minutes.
    • Supports project and status meetings by getting input from owners and participants. Assures agendas are accurate and meeting outputs are timely.
    • Performs key tasks to support all aspects of various stages of projects to help ensure project success.
    • Uses project scheduling and control tools to support the monitoring of project plans, and reporting of project statuses.
    • Compiles, processes, and reviews information from several programs.
    • Designs and generates routine and specialized reports for departmental and administrative use.
    • Performs queries and provides downloads of information as requested.
    • Creates trends, graphs data and prepares reports.
    • Performs audits to ensure quality, accuracy and the integrity of the data and reviews for resolution.
    • Performs examination where needed to aid in supporting projects, reporting and audits trending.

    Key Success Factors

    • HS Diploma/GED
    • 2+ years relevant experience in healthcare or project management
    • 2+ years Epic experience
    • Knowledge of medical terminology, diagnostic coding (CPT/ICD-10) preferred
    • Previous experience in scheduling surgeries or procedures preferred.
    • Able to maintain a calm and helpful attitude, even under times of stress, and take appropriate and reasonable steps to resolve issues.
    • Able to work carefully, with a high attention to detail.
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
    • Minimum 3 years surgery or procedure scheduling experience preferred
