Lead Pharmacy Technician - Cheyenne, WY / Dublin, GA

Job Title: Lead Pharmacy Technician

No. of Positions / Candidates Required: 2 FTE

Specialty: Pharmacy, Meds by Mail (MbM): processing non-VA prescriptions for CHAMPVA beneficiaries, plus call center operations

Place of Work (City/State): Remote. Personnel must reside within 50 miles of one of these VA facilities:

• MbM: Cheyenne, WY; Dublin, GA

• CMOP: Chelmsford, MA; Hines, IL; Lancaster, TX; Ladson, SC; Shawnee, KS; Murfreesboro, TN; Tucson, AZ

Site: VA CMOP Dublin & Cheyenne Meds by Mail

Duration: 12 months contract

Shift Schedule:

• Federal holidays may be designated workdays, with at least 48 hours' notice except in emergencies.

• Day/Evening/Night/Weekend/On-Call

Credentialing / Onboarding Time: 6 8 weeks

Certifications:

• Pharmacy Technician Certification - (PTCB/NHA)

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience Needed:

• Experience leading teams or projects that shows ability to manage and direct others.

• Administrative or records-management experience sufficient to maintain records for background investigations, training completion, and reporting.

Special Skills Needed:

• Interpersonal skills for effective interaction with peers and VA staff

• All Certified Pharmacy Technician skills (computer proficiency, English fluency)

Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day supervision, mentoring, and coordination of contractor technicians

• Play a central role in implementing the contractor's quality control and performance management processes

• Monitor staff work output and address performance deficiencies

• Report significant issues or trends to the COR within 1 business day

• Maintain records for background investigations, training completion, and reporting

• Be listed on the site roster submitted to the COR
