JOB SUMMARY
Under the direct supervision of the Rehabilitation Services Manager, the Lead Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) is responsible for the day-to-day oversight and support of PTAs and Therapies Technicians, as well as the supervision of PTA students in coordination with the Rehabilitation Services Manager. The Lead PTA is responsible for maintaining student supervision documentation and working with college programs to support successful PTA student placements. The Lead PTA assists, as needed, with schedule management for PTAs and Therapies Technicians and supports the development and coordination of training, programs, and meetings for these team members. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Able to perform all essential functions of a Physical Therapy Assistant.
Provides daily support to PTAs at both Curry General Hospital and Curry Medical Center, as needed. Responsibilities include providing general training; orienting new PTAs and Therapies Technicians; supporting competency requirements for PTAs and Therapies Technicians; coordinating approved education and updated training; providing guidance on Epic use and documentation; and encouraging effective time management and timely completion of required monthly Relias modules.
Works in coordination with the Rehabilitation Services Manager to develop schedules for PTAs and Therapies Technicians. Assesses staffing levels to help ensure adequate staffing in accordance with OHA-approved staffing plans.
Responsible for maintaining physical therapy-related supplies for the Therapies Department, including organizing supplies, assessing par levels, and placing orders through the ERP system to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
Works with the Rehabilitation Services Manager to develop and coordinate various PTA and Therapies Technician programs, trainings, and meetings.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience
· Meets the minimum requirements for PTA position.
· Minimum of two years’ experience as a PTA
· Scheduling and insurance experience preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
· Strong organizational and prioritization ability.
· Adequate physical strength and stamina for supporting patient movement and care.
· Moderate computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with others in close situations, using excellent communication and listening skills.
· Strong multitasking and time-management skills.
· Ability to support both campuses as needed by the department.
· Ability to work a flexible schedule and demonstrate self-motivated work habits.
· Understanding of and ability to work effectively with other departments and clinics within CHN.
· Ability to identify tasks and follow through to completion.
· Knowledge of supply chain processes and practices applicable to CHN’s Therapies Department.
