    Job Description

    The Lead Physician Recruitment is responsible for coordinating and executing recruitment efforts for physician faculty positions across clinical departments within Tulane School of Medicine. This is a newly established function within the School of Medicine, and the office is expected to grow as needs expand. This role is critical to supporting clinical and academic operations. The Lead Physician Recruitment will work closely with department chairs and administrative leadership, medical staff, faculty affairs, and HR colleagues to manage the full-cycle recruitment process from job posting through offer acceptance and onboarding.

    Required Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field

    • 5+ years of clinical recruitment experience, with at least 3 years of physician recruitment experience in support of a hospital, academic medical center, or a physician practice system

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or related field.

    • Knowledge of medical staff bylaws, credentialing standards, and GME structures

    • Familiarity with immigration sponsorship processes for clinical roles

    • Experience in a school of medicine / academic medicine environment

    • Proven ability to manage multiple complex searches simultaneously across subspecialties

    • Strong understanding of academic appointment structures, clinical faculty recruitment, and medical staff processes

    • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

    • Experience in a school of medicine / academic medicine environment
