Job Description Summary Job Description Roles and Responsibilities • Design and size key system components such as transformers, DFE, AFE, MB, and input/output filters to meet specifications and standards. • Develop vector control programs for power bridges (IGBT or thyristor) connected to various loads (e.g., machines or grids). • Define machine sequences based on technical constraints and customer process requirements; develop integrated control solutions for applications such as marine propulsion, rolling mills, and compressors. • Validate programs on real-time systems during integration tests. • Adapt and define electrotechnical models for HIL tests using RT-LAB real-time simulators, optimizing hardware resources. • Provide remote or on-site commissioning support as needed. Required Qualifications • Masters degree from an accredited university or college in the field of electrical engineering with about 3 years of advanced experience in the Engineering/Technology & Electrical Engineering. Desired Characteristics • Strong understanding of transformers and polyphase motors. • Solid understanding of power electronics and static converters, including rectifiers, inverters, and VSDs. • Expertise in Field-Oriented Control (FOC) of electric motors. • Knowledge of PWM technologies (H3, GDPWM, SVM, etc.). • Experience in system modeling (Transformer + VFD + Motor).
