Lead Preschool Teacher - 2-Year-Old Classroom
Location: The Learning Experience - Hudson Yards, New York, NY
Pay: $22-$28 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday
The Learning Experience - Hudson Yards is seeking a highly qualified Lead Preschool Teacher to lead our classroom serving children approximately 2 years old.
This is an important developmental stage as children rapidly build language, independence, friendships, and confidence. We're looking for an experienced early childhood educator who can create a structured, nurturing classroom while turning children's natural curiosity into meaningful learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily routines and learning experiences for 2-year-old children
- Implement The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum
- Create engaging experiences through art, music, movement, sensory play, literacy, and exploration
- Support cognitive, language, physical, and social-emotional development
- Encourage independence, self-help skills, and positive peer interactions
- Maintain consistent routines and positive classroom guidance
- Observe developmental progress and maintain required documentation
- Build strong relationships and communicate regularly with families
- Guide and collaborate with classroom support teachers
- Follow applicable New York City childcare licensing requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or higher required
- Minimum 90 credits in Early Childhood Education required
- Previous professional early childhood classroom experience strongly preferred
- Experience with toddlers or 2-year-old children preferred
- Strong classroom leadership and communication skills
- Must meet applicable New York City childcare requirements
