    Description

    Why Join ChildCareGroup

Founded in 1901, ChildCareGroup's (CCG) mission is to drive generational change by advancing early learning, family stability, and workforce opportunity.

    Why This Role Matters

The Lead Preschool Teacher plays a critical role in creating high‑quality learning environments for children ages 3-5. This position leads classroom instruction, partners closely with a co‑teacher, and ensures the implementation of developmentally appropriate practices aligned with CCG standards, Head Start Performance Standards, NAEYC criteria, and licensing regulations. The Lead Preschool Teacher supports each child's individual growth, builds strong family partnerships, and helps maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom where children can thrive.

    What You'll Do

    • Lead the management of a safe, organized classroom environment and collaborate with your co‑teacher to set and meet instructional goals.
    • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities based on early childhood best practices, including curriculum, assessments, and documentation.
    • Use child assessment data (LAP‑3) to plan instruction that meets each child's individual needs.
    • Build strong relationships with children, families, co‑teachers, and staff; conduct parent meetings, conferences, and required home visits.
    • Complete required reports, lesson plans, and database entries (training provided) and support classroom setup, safety practices, and supply needs.

    What You Bring

    • A Bachelor's Degree in child development or a related field required.
    • Experience working with preschool‑aged children (3-5 years old).
    • Knowledge of early childhood development and a strong desire to support young children's learning.
    • Strong communication, teamwork, organizational, and decision‑making skills with consistent, reliable attendance.
    • Alignment with CCG's mission, values, and commitment to maintaining safe, respectful, and developmentally appropriate classrooms.

ChildCareGroup is an equal opportunity employer/program. Auxiliary aids and services are available upon request to individuals with disabilities.
