Lead Preschool Teacher

Responsibilities include:
- Leading a classroom of approximately twenty children as a team of three teachers.
- Direct management of the two teachers assigned to their room.
- Lesson planning, provocations, documentation, and assessment of students.
- Participation in twice weekly Lead Teacher meetings.
- Leading once weekly team meeting for your class.
- Parent communication, including newsletter writing, emails, and conferences.
- Fostering a positive, emergent learning environment, for children with a focus on social and emotional well-being.
Requirements:
- Committed to a career in Early Childhood Education.
- 5+ years experience in a licensed childcare setting.
- 1+ year experience leading a preschool classroom.
- Able to lift and carry children (50 pounds).
- Able to work 6:45 - 3:00 PM.
- Experience in a play-based, emergent learning classroom.
- Experience with Conscious Discipline highly desired.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Team-minded approach to leadership.
This is a full-time salaried position paying $46,000 annually (equivalent to over $22 per hour). Increasing to $50,000 later this year.
