The Goddard School in Springboro is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Preschool Lead Teacher to join our team. In this important role, you will work collaboratively with fellow teachers to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can develop socially, emotionally, physically, and academically.

Key responsibilities include:
- Provide attentive supervision and ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times.
- Implement daily activities that promote children’s developmental growth.
- Engage in educational and play activities that encourage literacy, language, math, social-emotional, and physical development.
- Utilize positive guidance and behavior management techniques to support children's growth and development.
- Provide routine care, meals, diapering, toileting, rest time, and transitions.
- Communicate with parents about their child’s day and progress.
- Create and maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Observe and document children's progress and developmental milestones as required.
- Follow all licensing regulations, health and safety procedures, and center policies.
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in childcare or education REQUIRED.
- CDA or higher (or working toward your CDA) PREFERRED.
- A positive, patient, and approachable demeanor.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy and compassion for young children.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, children and families.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. in connection with the handling of children.
- Must pass required background checks and other requirements.
- CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.
Compensation:
- Hourly wage $17-$20.
- Paid Federal holidays.
- 2 weeks paid vacation.
- Winter break school shutdown (12/24-1/1).
