Our engineering services client is seeking an experienced Lead Process Engineer to support projects at a manufacturing facility in Mehoopany, Pennsylvania. This position is based out of the site office and requires an onsite presence one to two days per week. The ideal candidate will provide process engineering leadership, drive project execution, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational and capital improvement initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
Lead process and mechanical engineering design for industrial projects
Ensure engineering quality, accuracy, and compliance
Perform QA/QC reviews of calculations, drawings, and specifications
Develop equipment specs, bid documents, and construction packages
Support proposals and business development, including scope and cost estimates
Coordinate with clients, vendors, contractors, OEMs, and internal teams
Conduct onsite field investigations to support design efforts
Review vendor submittals and lead design reviews
Support construction, startup, and commissioning
Travel as needed (up to 25%)

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering , or equivalent experience
10+ years of process engineering experience in manufacturing environments
Experience leading engineering teams and external partners
Solid background in:
P&IDs and process documentation
Installation, bid, and construction packages
Process and utility piping design
Papermaking technology (towel and tissue)
Cost estimating and commissioning support
Nice to Have
15+ years of relevant experience
PE license or ability to obtain within 24 months
Experience with advanced papermaking systems, 3D design tools, HVAC, TAD, PHAs, Yankee dryers, dust control, and material handling
