Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering , or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of process engineering experience in manufacturing environments
- Experience leading engineering teams and external partners
- Solid background in:
- P&IDs and process documentation
- Installation, bid, and construction packages
- Process and utility piping design
- Papermaking technology (towel and tissue)
- Cost estimating and commissioning support
Nice to Have
- 15+ years of relevant experience
- PE license or ability to obtain within 24 months
- Experience with advanced papermaking systems , 3D design tools, HVAC, TAD, PHAs, Yankee dryers, dust control, and material handling
- Lead process and mechanical engineering design for industrial projects
- Ensure engineering quality, accuracy, and compliance
- Perform QA/QC reviews of calculations, drawings, and specifications
- Develop equipment specs, bid documents, and construction packages
- Support proposals and business development, including scope and cost estimates
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, contractors, OEMs, and internal teams
- Conduct onsite field investigations to support design efforts
- Review vendor submittals and lead design reviews
- Support construction, startup, and commissioning
- Travel as needed (up to 25%)
Our engineering services client is currently seeking a Lead Process Engineer. This role supports projects based out of our client’s customer’s manufacturing facility office. This resource will be required to be onsite one to two days per week.
